Nannies recruitment

Who are the nannies?

Nannies, or childcare providers, are dedicated professionals who care for one or more children within a family.

With training in early childhood education or extensive experience, they go beyond simple childcare. Depending on their background, they may also assist children with schoolwork and transport them to extracurricular activities.

In addition to their primary role, some nannies may take on household chores or even prepare meals for the parents, providing valuable support in managing daily routines.

These versatile caregivers ensure the well-being and balanced development of children while making family life easier.

Imagine hiring a nanny who naturally speaks a foreign language to immerse your children from a young age.

This approach provides a natural language immersion, a real asset for early language learning.

Children learn more easily and quickly when regularly exposed to a language different from their own.

Having a native-speaking foreign language nanny represents a valuable opportunity to develop their linguistic skills and cultural openness.

It's a pathway to broaden their horizons and master a new language in a natural and stimulating way.

Salary of domestic workers

Domestic employees (child minders, cleaning staff, etc.) are employed by the families who use our services. They receive a salary at the end of each month, which depends on the number of working hours defined contractually. Overtime must be added to the salary or compensated by leave of the same duration.

The minimum wage for a domestic employee is regulated by the standard domestic economy contracts of the canton of residence of the family/employer.

In any case, we recommend paying your employee at least CHF 25.- in the canton of Geneva.

Note that, in estimating your costs in hiring a child minder, you will have to add the employers' charges, ie around 10 to 15% of the gross salary.
